Space Coast Credit Union awards $2,014 during Watchdog Challenge Sweepstakes
MELBOURNE, FL (April 3, 2014) – Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) announced Cecilia C., of Miami, as the winner of $2,014 in its 2014 Watchdog Challenge. The sweepstakes ran from January 2 through February 14, 2014 and participants completed six financial challenges to improve their financial well-being. Each challenge completed was an entry into a random drawing for $2,014. Any participant completing all six challenges was also entered into a separate bonus drawing for a chance to win $100.
During the six week sweepstakes, 6,799 people registered to participate, and a total of 4,450 challenges were completed. Challenges included maintaining a spending diary, building a budget, setting a savings goal, saving time, sharing their Watchdog story, and referring friends to SCCU.
The grand prize winner, Cecilia C., of Miami, was presented with a check for $2,014 on March 24, 2014 at SCCU’s Skylake Branch. On hand to present the check was SCCU’s branch manager Emily Chavez and Jerelyn Peters, Assistant Branch Manager. The $100 winner was Daniel B. of Pompano Beach.
