Space Coast Credit Union launches the latest evolution of its Watchdog campaign

Latest campaign reinforces SCCU's commitment to protecting members’ financial well-being

As Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) celebrates its 75th anniversary and continues to expand its presence across Florida, the Credit Union is launching “Banking on It,” the latest evolution of its Watchdog advertising and marketing campaign. Inspired by the instinctive behaviors of Watchdog, the campaign playfully connects familiar dog trigger words and behaviors to everyday financial situations, reinforcing SCCU's commitment to protecting members and helping them navigate their financial journeys with confidence.

“Watchdog has become a powerful symbol of what our members can expect from Space Coast Credit Union,” said Joelle Hahn, SCCU’s SVP of Marketing. “As we celebrate 75 years of serving our members and communities, we remain as committed as ever to protecting their financial wellbeing. This latest Watchdog campaign reflects that commitment and reinforces the trust our members place in us every day in a fun, playful way.”

Introduced in 2023, Watchdog quickly became a recognizable symbol of SCCU’s dedication to protecting members’ financial wellbeing. In “Banking on It,” familiar dog trigger words and behaviors are brought to life through everyday financial situations, creating a lighthearted and memorable reminder that SCCU is always looking out for its members' best interests while providing trusted financial guidance, security and support to members across Florida.

Initially developed with extensive consumer research, audience insights and creative strategy, the next chapter of the campaign reinforces Watchdog's role as a symbol of protection and trust, reflecting SCCU's dedication to helping members avoid unnecessary financial stress while providing the products, services and support they need to feel confident about their financial future.

The campaign will be featured across digital advertising, billboards and broadcast media, including major networks, connected TV apps and audio streaming, reaching English and Spanish speaking audiences throughout Florida.

Space Coast Credit Union collaborated with its advertising and public relations agency, &Barr, along with trusted partners Diamond View and Cahoots Studios, to ideate and develop the “Banking on It” campaign. The campaign is the first of two in SCCU's 2026 marketing efforts and will be followed by a second campaign later this year, continuing the evolution of Watchdog.
