SPIRE Credit Union voted Minnesota’s best in four categories

FALCON HEIGHTS, MN (September 26, 2022) — On Sunday, the Star Tribune announced that SPIRE Credit Union has been voted Minnesota’s Best in the credit union, customer service, mortgage, and wealth management categories.

The Star Tribune Reader’s Choice Award program recognizes the three best businesses from more than 390 categories. With over 90 credit unions in Minnesota, SPIRE was voted one of the best in all four categories it was nominated.

Minnesota’s Best Credit Union (Silver Award)

SPIRE has $2.1 billion in assets, 22 branches across Minnesota, and serves nearly 154,000 members.

This is the second year SPIRE has been awarded Minnesota’s Best in the credit union category.

Minnesota’s Best Customer Service (Silver Award)

The Customer Service category stretches across all industries and SPIRE is proud to have been awarded among Minnesota’s Best.

In 2021, SPIRE was a bronze winner in this category.

Minnesota’s Best Home Mortgage (Gold Award)

This is the first year SPIRE was nominated for Minnesota’s Best Home Mortgage.

Nominees in the Home Mortgage category include all financial institutions operating in Minnesota including banks, fintechs, credit unions, and other mortgage lenders.

Minnesota’s Best Wealth Management (Gold Award)

For the second straight year, SPIRE Retirement & Investment Services has been recognized as the gold winner in the Wealth Management category.

Nominees in this category include all businesses offering retirement, investment, and wealth management services in Minnesota.

Winners were announced on the Minnesota’s Best website on September 25 and will be included in a special Minnesota’s Best magazine sent to Star Tribune subscribers in October.
