Sporting Clay Tournament to benefit Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center

BATON ROUGE, LA (January 14, 2015) — The Neighbors Capital Area Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Clays for Kids Sporting Clay Tournament benefitting the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center (BRCAC) on March 7, 2015 at Hunter’s Run Gun Club in Port Allen.  The Neighbors Capital Area Foundation is an initiative by Neighbors Federal Credit Union to provide support for community service organizations in Baton Rouge.

Shooters will compete on a 100 shot course. Teams will be made up of 4 shooters. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served for teams and a silent auction will be open throughout the day.  Silent auction and raffle winners will be announced after the shoot.

The BRCAC plays a vital role in our community in the fight against child abuse, serving East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Pointe Coupee and West Baton Rouge Parishes. The Advocacy Center is a non-threatening facility that reduces anxiety for children and families while completing forensic interviews for evidence collections. The BRCAC provides coordination of investigation, prosecution, and treatment by bringing together child protection services, the district attorney’s office, law enforcement, medical and mental health professionals as a multi-disciplinary team.

Sponsorships and team registrations are available at www.neighborsfcu.org/claysforkidsregistration. For more information, contact Foundation Coordinator, Gary LaBauve at glabauve@neighborsfcu.org or call 225-819-4372.
