Still time to register for NCUA’s Leadership Boot Camp in Baltimore

ALEXANDRIA, VA (April 4, 2014) – There is still time to register for the Leadership Boot Camp for credit union managers and board directors hosted by the National Credit Union Administration’s Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, April 12, 2014, at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel.OSCUI last year introduced CEO Boot Camps to focus its training program on credit union managers and those new to credit union management. The overwhelmingly positive response convinced OSCUI to expand the program to include all credit union leadership. OSCUI will host 10 boot camps in 2014.

Staff from OSCUI, CUNA Mutual, and the Maryland-District of Columbia Credit Union Association will make presentations. Topics covered during the leadership boot camp will include:

•Supervisory committee – your internal audit team
•Bank Secrecy Act •Employment practice from CUNA Mutual
•Succession planning and passing on the baton
•Revisiting the allowance for loan and lease losses account
•Board governance
•Communications for credit union management

Boot camp participants will receive OSCUI’s new Credit Union Leadership Resource Guide.
