Stop! In the Name of Motown: ‘Human Nature’ performs for NAFCU’s 47th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Las Vegas

WASHINGTON,DC (April 23, 2014) — The critically acclaimed act in Las Vegas, “Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature: The Motown Show,” has been added to the already stellar program of exciting guest speakers and special events at this year’s National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) 47th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo. The conference will be held July 22-26 at The Venetian Las Vegas Casino, Hotel & Resort.

“We’re excited to have such fun and entertaining performers grace the stage for this year’s conference,” said Dan Berger, NAFCU’s president and CEO. “They will take attendees on an unforgettable journey through a timeless period in music history.”

“Human Nature: The Motown Show,” is a musical quartet from Australia that puts a modern twist on classic Motown hits. The group has sold 23 best-selling albums and entertained millions worldwide with their thrilling live performances. “Human Nature” has appeared on “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and its own PBS Special “Human Nature Sings Motown.” The group was also voted “Best Singers” by Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Human Nature” is scheduled to perform Friday night, July 25.

In addition to this electrifying musical group, attendees will hear from “Waiting for ‘Superman’ ” figure Geoffrey Canada and leadership innovators Dan Rockwell and Lee Wetherington. All three will be delivering the conference’s keynote presentations.

Additional speakers include National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Debbie Matz, Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives Director William Myers and Office of Examination and Insurance Director Larry Fazio. Berger and other top NAFCU staff will also lead a “kick-off conversation” addressing the top regulatory and legislative issues with attendees on opening day.

Further conference highlights include:

  • six educational tracks designed to help credit unions identify new income opportunities, the latest credit union trends, best practices in risk management and more;
  • the Solutions Expo, the hub for the latest technologies, applications and resources available to help improve credit union operations, features the Preferred Partner Pavilion which includes a select group of leading solutions providers;

  • the CEOs’ Forum, Chairs’ Caucus, Senior Management Forum and Directors’ Q&A to allow credit unions to discuss concerns and share ideas with their peers;
  • the Defense Credit Union Summit, featuring a number of our nation’s defense leaders covering top-of-mind defense issues and best practices for serving DoD members;
  • numerous opportunities to network with credit union professionals; and
  • spouse/guest program options, which will involve two days of excursions and networking experiences.
