Student Choice enhances operational expertise with addition of Mark Putman
WASHINGTON, DC (January 12, 2015) — Credit Union Student Choice, the foremost provider of higher education financing solutions to America’s credit unions, announced that it has hired student lending industry veteran Mark Putman as Vice President of Product Operations.
“We’re very pleased to bring someone of Mark’s caliber to the Student Choice team,” said Melissa Hunt, Student Choice’s Chief Operations Officer. “Mark has 25 years of diverse experience in the education finance space, including leadership roles in servicing, operations, and sales. His unique expertise and skills will bring tremendous value to our Operations group as we continue to evolve our product set and deploy a member-centric program that delivers strong value and a first-class experience to both borrowers and credit unions.”
Most recently, Putman served as the Chief Technology Officer for the National Council of Higher Education Resources (NCHER). During his tenure with NCHER, he was responsible for overseeing the standards, processes and best practices for student loan data exchange, National Student Loan Database (NSLDS) workgroups, and the vast NCHER e-Library. Prior to NCHER, Putman worked with College Assist, Sallie Mae and U.S. Bank in various roles. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and a Master of Business Administration in Process Improvement, both from the University of Kansas.
