Students to complete financial counselor certification at upcoming CUNA eSchool

WASHINGTON, DC (September 30, 2015) — CUNA will hold CUNA Certified Financial Counselor Part 2 eSchool beginning October 6, 2015. Upon successfully completing both parts 1 and 2 and passing the corresponding exams, participants will be awarded the Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor (CUCFC) designation.

“I would recommend this program to any individual who is interested in providing one-on-one counseling within their credit union,” says Sandie McKay, Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor at Option 1 Credit Union. “The program provides many advantages and opportunities for the counselor to share and teach in the community, at corporations and educational institutions.”

The eSchool enables students to customize their learning experience, with weekly webinars, independent reading assignments, practice activities and tests. This eSchool is a part of the CUNA Training Bundle to provide an affordable way to provide this information to multiple staff.

This eSchool addresses various fundamental topics, including:

  • Insurance
  • Taxes and basic investments
  • Retirement
  • Living expenses
  • And more
