PORTLAND, ME (January 17, 2014) — Synergent Technology Services is pleased to announce that it recently successfully converted to the Episys Core Processing System Fall River Municipal CU, located in Fall River, Lakeville, Assonet, and Swansea, Massachusetts, with 16,569 members and $216,967,083 in assets, to the Episys Core Processing System. The credit union has also converted to Synergent Electronic Check Collection and Share Draft Processing Services, and has implemented Jwaala Better Online Banking, Verafin, and Statement Processing.

John Murphy, President and CEO of Synergent, said the teamwork that contributed to the success of the conversion process is a testament to the strength of the newly formed partnership. “We are very pleased to welcome Fall River Municipal CU to Synergent.  We are confident that our service bureau environment will provide the security, quality of service, and greater efficiencies that will allow the credit union to grow and take their member service to an even higher level.”

Gary Glenn, Senior Vice President for Synergent, said that the partnership will provide many benefits for the credit union.  “In today’s competitive financial services environment, offering the latest in technology is a necessity in growing and retaining credit unions’ membership.  Synergent is able to offer a wide range of services to credit unions, allowing them to stay on the cutting edge of technology simply and efficiently, as Fall River Municipal CU provides members with the latest online banking, fraud protection, and enhanced statements.”

Matthew Schondek, President & CEO of Fall River Municipal Credit Union, “I anticipate that the conversion will allow the credit union staff to work more efficiently and improve the member experiences.  In seeking a core processor, we were cognizant of the need to offer passbooks to our current membership. Synergent will support the passbook accounts while providing improvements in the on-line and bill pay features needed to attract newer members who expect the latest technology. Fall River Municipal Credit union has been serving the community for over 80 years, this system upgrade is just one more step on our continued quest to support our membership and welcome new members with the products and services they expect from today’s institutions.”
