TDECU members and employees raise $2,500 and collect pet supplies for Brazoria County SPCA

LAKE JACKSON, TX (June 17, 2014) — To support the Brazoria County SPCA and its mission to shelter and provide medical care for homeless pets, TDECU employees held a donation drive for the non-profit organization, inviting its members and employees to donate money and needed supplies at its Brazoria County branches.

To raise additional funds, TDECU also held a silent auction that featured donated products from local vendors: Lucky Dog Company in Richwood, TX; VCA Animal Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX and Cut-Ups Hair Salon, also in Lake Jackson. Over a two-week period, the community rallied and collected $2,500, and three vans full of pet supplies, bedding, toys and food. TDECU employees excitedly delivered the donated items to the Brazoria County SPCA and received a warm welcome from a couple of furry new friends.
