Texas Trust employees graduate from Leadership Academy
ARLINGTON, TX (February 16, 2023) — Texas Trust Credit Union employees Silvia Avila and Travis Tedford have graduated from the Cornerstone League’s Leadership Academy (CLA).
The CLA is an exclusive nine-month higher-level education program designed to develop future credit union leaders. The course offers an in-depth study into credit union philosophy along with departmental studies including accounting and finance, marketing, human resources, compliance, branch operations, lending, project management, IT, government relations and diversity, equity and inclusion. The purpose is to develop well-rounded credit union employees and prepare them for future leadership roles.
Member Experience Manager Tedford has served in a variety of positions since joining Texas Trust in 2009 as a teller. Currently he works with multiple departments and looks for opportunities to ensure a superior member experience both in-branch and online.

Avila, who is Payment Engagement Advocate, said “The Cornerstone Leadership Academy helped me grow as an individual and took me out of my comfort zone. It sharpened my skills and has given me more confidence to face challenging situations and to better understand the different roles and functions within the credit union.”
