The American 1 paws & claws pet expo is coming soon

JACKSON, MI (January 24, 2014) — American 1 Credit Union is proud to give back and serve its surrounding communities.  On Saturday, February 8 from 10am to 2pm, over 25 local pet vendors will be in the American 1 Event Center at the Jackson County Fairgrounds for the seventh annual American 1 Paws &
Claws Pet Expo.

This event serves as a fundraiser for the Cascades Humane Society (CHS). Admission is free, but donations such as pet food, cat litter, animal treats, monetary donations, etc. will be accepted as well.

A Pet Fashion Show will begin at 12pm.  Several local vendors will be bringing adorable pet outfits, and it will showcase adoptable dogs from the Cascades Humane Society. They will wag their tails down the “Dogwalk,” in hopes of winning the coveted “Top Dog” award.

The event will feature a craft area where guests can make a valentine themed photo frame and “Smooch the Pooch” kissing booth; each for a small donation to CHS.

Make sure to bring your favorite pet photo to enter our “Cutest Pet” photo contest for a $1 donation per photo, and you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift card to a local pet store!

We have quite a few vendors that are returning from past years, including Unleashed and Lovin’ It, which will feature a prize wheel for a donation. Other long time vendors include; Blankies and Beds,  Carolyn’s Originals, Invisible Fencing Mid-State, Sam’s Club and Creature Comforts. Cascades Humane Society will have animals on hand that are available for adoption as well.

Make sure to bring extra cash to help support the Cascades Humane Society.
