WCUC 2025 is Largest Ever Held In Europe
The 2025 World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) welcomed more than 2,000 participants from 55 countries to Stockholm, Sweden, July 14-16, making it the largest WCUC ever held in Europe. The 20th anniversary edition of WCUC featured more than 30 keynote and breakout sessions with over 50 speakers, along with a Solution Center full of world-class vendors and exhibitors. Learn more.

WOCCU Board Chair Lays Out New Strategy
Michael Lawrence, Chair of the WOCCU Board and CEO of the Customer Owned Banking Association (Australia), welcomed attendees to the opening ceremony by laying out a new three-year strategy for the organization. It prioritizes:

  • A more proactive approach to International Advocacy.
  • Improved services for WOCCU members.
  • Strengthening the organization’s role as a global leader in cooperative finance.

International Advocacy Takes Center Stage
WOCCU's International Advocacy team hosted a record seven breakout sessions on topics ranging from regulatory technology to politics and growth. The July 15 general session also featured an interview with Tom Neylan, Head of Policy for the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

WOCCU, Visa to Tackle Cross-Border Payments
WOCCU also launched a strategic collaboration with Visa during WCUC 2025, aimed at addressing the high cost, access and complexity of cross-border payments and remittances. The initiative will bring together credit union leaders from across the Americas to identify and explore scalable solutions that ensure reliable results. Learn more.
