The Golden 1 Credit Union Kicks Off Annual “Coats For Kids” Campaign

FRESNO, Calif., November 6, 2012—With the goal of keeping all children warm this winter, Golden 1 Credit Union is participating in the annual “Coats for Kids” campaign, held in Central Valley communities in November.

From November 1 – November 30, collection bins will be set up in Golden 1 branches located in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Hanford, and Oakhurst. Members and the general public are invited to use these bins to donate new or gently used coats for children in need. A list of participating branches is available at the 93.7 KISS Country radio station website, www.ksks.com.

Golden 1 is also sponsoring the Coats for Kids School and Class Challenge, which encourages classes and schools to collect coats. The school that collects the most coats will win tickets to a 2013 Fresno Grizzlies baseball game for every child in the school. The class that collects the most coats will receive a pizza party.

“Golden 1 is proud to support the Fresno community through Coats for Kids,” said Donna A. Bland, Golden 1 President and CEO. “Together with the Salvation Army, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, and KISS Country, we can improve the lives of the youngest members of our community.”

Golden 1 Credit Union is California’s leading credit union, with 83 branches, $7.9 billion in assets and more than 620,000 members. For more information, please visit golden1.com.
