The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates honors industry leaders as 2025 Professionals of the Year

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates proudly recognized the 2025 Professionals of the Year during ENGAGE 2026 in Orlando, Florida. This award honors credit union professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to advancing the credit union movement.

Each year, one professional from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia is selected for their meaningful contributions to their organization, their members, and the industry.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Alabama: Leia Ragland, Legacy Community Federal Credit Union
  • Florida: Kevin Miller, Addition Financial Credit Union
  • Georgia: Chadwick Evans, Associated Credit Union
  • Virginia: Amanda Habansky, Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union

Leia Ragland was recognized for her innovative leadership and commitment to enhancing the member experience. As Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Development at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union, she has led transformative initiatives including a digital banking upgrade, website redesign, and a merger that expanded the credit union’s footprint. Her active involvement in The League and dedication to developing future leaders further reflects her impact on the credit union movement.

Kevin Miller was honored for his strong leadership and strategic vision as CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. Under his guidance, the credit union has grown significantly in both assets and reach, while continuing to prioritize innovation and member service. His leadership has driven advancements in digital banking, expanded partnerships, and strengthened community impact through philanthropic initiatives and advocacy efforts.

Chadwick Evans was recognized for his long-standing commitment to lending excellence and the credit union mission. As Executive Vice President of Lending at Associated Credit Union, he has led key initiatives that improved operational efficiency and enhanced the member experience. Beyond his professional role, his involvement in industry organizations and community initiatives reflects a deep dedication to service and leadership.

Amanda Habansky was honored for her leadership and commitment to expanding financial access and opportunity. As President and CEO of Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union, she has leveraged the credit union’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) designation to support underserved communities through innovative programs and advocacy. Her leadership continues to drive meaningful impact for members and communities alike.
