Founded by brothers, Chris and Travis Sachse, in 2011 as Horsetail Technology – the company was rebranded as Think|Stack in 2017 – the company was built with the goal to help community leaders and their teams understand how technology can support their goals while delivering seamless, enjoyable technology experiences to their people and customers.

In May 2021, Think|Stack became a CUSO following the $5 million investment from four organizations – CUSG, Christian Financial Credit Union, Mutual Credit Union and Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union. A credit union service organization (CUSO) is a business entity with investment from at least one federally-chartered credit union. Unlike traditional venture capital, an investment through a CUSO does not demand rapid growth of a business – rather fosters collaboration and innovation to improve services for credit union members.
As credit unions work to provide members with evolving digital experiences and data protection, the demand for cloud adoption and cybersecurity is growing. Strategic partners that can provide 24×7 cybersecurity services, help design technology, and deliver cloud expertise are important to supporting a credit union’s digital transformation journey.
While there are many vendors that provide technology support and cybersecurity services that are critical to every business, the rapid evolution of technology and innovation to solve industry-specific challenges demands vendor partners with expertise and knowledge of the industries it serves in addition to the technology itself.

Think|Stack remains committed to Baltimore as it plans for its future growth. In 2015, it relocated its headquarters to Harbor Point where it occupies 4800 square feet of space.
