Three generations at Catholic Federal Credit Union

SAGINAW, MI (September 10, 2014) — Catholic Federal has a unique situation where there are three generations from one family all working at one office location! “Spike” Byron Weber, Kelly Prast, and Holly Prast have taken on different roles at CFCU, but share the same role as family members.

Spike takes on many different responsibilities as the maintenance coordinator at the Credit Union. You can see him keeping the company vehicles maintained, fixing broken office equipment, assembling toys for our marketing department and taking care of anything else that comes up! Spike’s been at Catholic Federal for over 11 years and says that “it’s great to come to work and be with the people you love.”

Spike’s daughter, Kelly Prast, originally started at CFCU in 1985 as a teller at the State Street location in Saginaw.  She worked for 10 years in different departments including; accounting, loans, and mortgages. Kelly took a break for about 6 years before coming back to CFCU’s mortgage department in 2002. She has a combined total of 23 years at Catholic Federal Credit Union!

Kelly’s Daughter, Holly Prast, is one of Catholic Federal’s newest employees! She started her Human Resources internship in August. Holly is balancing working part time at CFCU and continuing her education at Delta College.

It is amazing to see one family demonstrate the credit union mission of people helping people in many different ways.

Catholic Federal Credit Union is a full service financial institution offering loans, savings accounts and checking accounts. The credit union has locations in Bay City, Essexville, Saginaw and Vassar in Michigan.
