OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (March 23, 2026) |
Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is celebrating 80 years of serving people and communities with its 80th anniversary of its founding on March 20, 2026.
Over the past eight decades, TFCU has remained committed to supporting members’ financial well being through exceptional service and innovation, while continually evolving to meet changing needs and advances in technology – work that still reflects its mission.
“TFCU is proud to celebrate 80 years of serving our members and communities,” said Dave Willis, CEO at TFCU. “Our mission to help members achieve their goals and realize their dreams remains at the heart of everything we do. As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting our members and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.”
Since opening its doors in 1946, TFCU has grown from a small credit union serving employees at Tinker Field, into the largest credit union in Oklahoma. Today, TFCU serves almost half a million members worldwide and manages more than $6.1 billion in assets.
With more than 30 full-service branch locations across Oklahoma and North Texas, TFCU serves Tinker Air Force Base, Vance Air Force Base and the employees of thousands of companies and associations in the region. The credit union maintains a strong presence across both states, including Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Enid, Stillwater, Shawnee, Ada and Denton.
As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, TFCU returns earnings to members through higher dividends on deposits, lower loan rates and low or no fees on many services.
