Tinker Federal Credit Union offers hardship relief during government shutdown

As the ongoing government shutdown continues to impact U.S. citizens,  Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has launched a hardship relief program to help its members stay  financially steady and is making donations to help our communities during this uncertain time. 

TFCU hardship relief options 

This program is designed to ease immediate financial strain for those impacted by delayed paychecks.  Available options include: 

  • No-fee Skip-A-Payment opportunities 
  • Interest-only payment plans 
  • Fee refunds 
  • 0% interest loans for qualifying members

Donations 

TFCU is helping support non-profit organizations with donations to increase support for our communities.  There are more than 15 organizations receiving donations from TFCU across the communities it serves; some  examples include: 

  • North Texas Food Bank – Plano - $5,000 
  • Denton Community Food Center – Denton - $500 

Free financial coaching 

TFCU offers free financial coaching to everyone through its Member Solutions team. They can help with  budgeting, credit building and much more.
