TMG adds, promotes digital payments, operations and IT staff

DES MOINES, IA (May 22, 2015) — Payments processor TMG (The Members Group) today announced the addition of a new vice president, as well as the promotions of two key employees.

Robert Butler has joined TMG from UMB Bank as vice president of business process improvement. In this role, he will ensure the company’s operations align with TMG’s brand promise and strategic objectives. Butler has more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, project and vendor management, product development, risk and operations management. Most of this experience comes from the financial and card services space with First Data, Bank of America Corp. and UMB.

Recognizing emerging technologies as a major driver of digital payments, TMG has promoted Brian Day to director of digital payments strategy. In this role, Day will develop and execute TMG’s digital strategy in collaboration with product development, marketing, operations and IT teams. He will report directly to the payment processor’s chief operating officer. Day joined TMG in 2010 and most recently held the position of mobile products manager.

Corey Weeklund has been promoted to director of technology infrastructure, reporting directly to TMG’s chief technology officer. Weeklund will oversee the systems and security administration, network operations and technical support help desk business units. He has been with TMG since 2010 and has been an instrumental member of the IT department, most recently serving as technology infrastructure manager.
