Travis Credit Union is hosting a Super Saturday event on February 22 at Napa Valley College with free college financial aid workshops for the community. Students and their families who attend the workshops will receive assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the California Dream Act (for eligible AB540 students), and the Chafee Grant application (for eligible foster youth).
During the annual Super Saturday event, Napa Valley College will present financial aid workshops in both English and Spanish and provide direct assistance to students and families seeking to complete applications online. Open computer labs staffed by financial aid experts will be ready to assist both students and parents.

By demonstrating our Awesome Cause Financial Education, Financial Literacy and Financial Advocacy this program helps avoid common financial vulnerabilities while building economic stability for these families and the communities they reside.”
The Super Saturday event marks the final event for the annual college Cash For College workshop series, offered in partnership by Travis Credit Union and Napa Valley College. Students who attend a workshop during the year are entered into a drawing to win a new laptop or Amazon Fire tablet (provided by Travis Credit Union). This year, the series included 10 workshops held October through February in Napa and Solano Counties for high school seniors and their parents. All workshops were presented in both English and Spanish.
Napa Valley College recommends that anyone coming to the Super Saturday event bring the following financial documents if available: federal income tax returns from 2018, W-2 forms, paycheck stubs or any records of earned income, and current bank statements and records of stocks, bonds or other investments.
