Tropical Financial Credit Union introduces new fixed-rate credit card with 3X Rewards
Mastercard® Elite 3X Rewards not only safeguards against rising rates, but also lets members earn points faster than ever before
MIRAMAR, FL (February 10, 2020) — Tropical Financial Credit Union is upping the ante when it comes to member rewards.
The not-for-profit financial institution has rolled out The Mastercard® Elite 3X Rewards Card which features a fixed rate and triples the number of points one can earn on each purchase—no matter where it is used.
For every dollar spent, members will earn three points. For example, if someone charges $75 for a dinner out or at the dry cleaner, he or she would automatically earn 225 points. Once those points add up to a certain level, they can be redeemed for travel, merchandise, or even cash back quicker. Members can earn their coveted rewards faster than with most other credit card options.
“All of our research shows consumers, especially young adults, are demanding more rewards and benefits from their financial institutions,” said Amy McGraw, Chief Experience Officer and VP of marketing. “We took that to heart by offering this new credit card to our lineup which we think is extremely competitive in the marketplace.”
The other key benefit of the new Mastercard® Elite 3x Rewards Card is its fixed rate which is ideal for people who may need to carry monthly balances and desire more certainty on their future interest cost.
The card has no annual fee, no balance transfer fee and a fixed Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of 17.99%. Once the rate is established, it remains locked in while the account remains active.
“A fixed-interest rate provides a nice safeguard and could potentially save members a lot of money,” said Richard Helber, president and CEO of Tropical Financial. “When you combine that feature with the power of 3 times rewards, we are helping our members improve their financial well-being which is the credit union’s primary mission.”
With the Mastercard Elite 3X Rewards, Tropical Financial now offers five different Mastercard options to meet just about any need. For more information on the various programs, terms and conditions, please visit www.tropicalfcu.com.
