TruMark Financial partnered with TeamBonding

FORT WASHINGTON, PA (February 19, 2020) — On Feb.17, employees at TruMark Financial® Credit Union’s annual meeting, held at the Radisson Hotel, Valley Forge, Pa., listened to CEO Richard F. Stipa’s message as he recapped the year and talked about the organization’s direction for 2020. Following his message, employees participated in team building exercises and got a lesson in philanthropy.

TruMark Financial partnered with TeamBonding, an organization that offers team building resources through engaging exercises. Employees participated in “The Team Teddy Rescue Bear “ event, a charitable and fun way to work together, build team spirit, and make a difference by constructing teddy bears and donating them to an organization that works with children.

Employees were divided into teams and assembled bears of their choice by carefully stuffing them into furry friends dressed in a variety of fun outfits and giving each a name and a birth certificate. At the conclusion of the meeting, TruMark Financial employees had built 120 teddy bears. The teddy bears were donated to Turning Points for Children’s foster program which provides safe and healthy homes for over 500 children in Philadelphia.

Justin Williams, executive director of Turning Points, attended the meeting and expressed his gratitude to the credit union for the donation of bears and stated they would make a difference to the children his organization serves.

The donation of teddy bears is one more example of how the credit union demonstrates its commitment to giving back to the community whether it’s for a local or global cause. Employees left the meeting inspired and with a sense of accomplishment knowing they were helping put a smile on a young child’s face.
