TruStone financial Senior Vice President wins Credit Union Times Trailblazer 40 Below

PLYMOUTH, MI (December 9, 2013) —  Hans Iverson was recently named a Trailblazer 40 Below by Credit Union Times. The national publication recognized 12 young credit union executives this year who are “working at warp- speed to better the future of the credit union industry.”

Iverson was selected specifically because of the impressive growth in TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s overall lending portfolio. At the time Iverson started, the loan portfolio stood at $239 million, the asset size of the credit union was $636 million and the potential for growth was exponential. Iverson was instrumental in increasing the loan portfolio by 113%, in just three years, to a staggering $511 million as of September 30, 2013 with assets exceeding $910 million.

TruStone Financial’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Bosiacki has worked alongside Iverson for much of his banking career. “Hans Iverson is a talented young man with a bright future,” said Bosiacki. “His approach to banking is refreshing. He has an air about himself; he’s a confident and energetic individual who immediately gains respect from his colleagues.”

In Iverson’s award-winning entry, he stated, “I’m not solely responsible for growing the portfolio, however, I’ll take the credit for hiring good people, treating them right and taking advantage of opportunities that have been presented to us.” Specifically, TruStone Financial tightened lending guidelines, kept delinquency in check and implemented many additional products and services not available to members before.

Iverson has thrived during his tenure at TruStone Financial. Working at a credit union gives Iverson something to fight for and be proud of. “The opportunities that come with working for a credit union are endless. I am excited about the growth of the credit union and am dedicated to making TruStone Financial one of the most respected credit unions in the Midwest.”

Before joining TruStone Financial, Iverson was based in Colorado as the Director of Lending, Mountain West Division at TCF National Bank, an $18 billion company.
