WARNER ROBINS, GA (August 19, 2022) — Robins Financial Credit Union and Combined Employees Credit Union have both earned “Georgia Credit Union of the Year” from the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates.
Robins Financial has been the trusted financial partner that their members and the community rely on to meet their needs since 1954. Originally formed by a group of Robins Air Force Base civilian and military personnel, Robins Financial has grown to now serve over 245,000 members, with assets exceeding $4 billion.
Combined Employees Credit Union has been serving in the Houston County area since 1969, formerly as the City of Warner Robins Employees Credit Union. Formed by 6 City of Warner Robins employees with $200, CECU now has assets of $13 million and serves over 3,000 members with financial services dedicated to improving the lives of its members.
Presented at the 2022 Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo, the Credit Union of the Year award recognizes credit unions for their outstanding achievements in the various areas of operations, financial strength and member outreach. The awards committee selected one credit union from each state in the following asset size categories: up to $100 million, $100-$500 million and over $500 million. Robins Financial Credit Union won in the over $500 million category and Combined Employees Credit Union won in the up to $100 million category. Both credit unions recognized are based in Warner Robins.
