UCU promotes Stephanie Beck to Assistant Vice President of Marketing

ORONO, ME (April 2, 2019) — University Credit Union (UCU) in Orono is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Beck to Assistant Vice President of Marketing.

Beck joined UCU in 2016 after three years on the marketing team at one of Maine’s largest law firms. Beck brings over a decade of marketing and communications experience spanning sales, business development, public relations and advertising.

“Stephanie is a hardworking manager who is driven and especially passionate about the mission of UCU, being a University of Southern Maine alum herself,” said Matthew Walsh, president and CEO of UCU. “Over the past few years, Stephanie has used her skills to evolve our marketing and communications programs to meet our members’ growing preference for digital and social communications, while staying true to our mission, our core values, and our heritage as a financial institution rooted in Maine’s higher education system.”

As Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Beck will continue to lead UCU’s marketing and be responsible for developing and deploying strategic communication and marketing campaigns. Additionally, Beck joins the credit union’s senior leadership team, responsible for the credit union’s overall strategic direction and fulfillment of its mission to actively advance the financial well-being of members.

A proud University of Southern Maine graduate, Beck holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing. She lives in Portland with her family.
