FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties gathering donations

(TINTON FALLS, N.J.) – United Teletech Financial (UTF) is collecting donations for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties to aid in its fight against hunger. With the recent hurricane, the need for food items is greater than ever in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

“We are at a pivotal time for our communities. Now is our time to join together to help our neighbors work through the impact of this disaster. We’re very grateful we can help the FoodBank in their mission to provide food and meals to those who are without right now,” Leo Ardine, President/CEO of UTF, said.

Non-perishable items can be dropped off at UTF branch locations in Holmdel, Marlboro, Middletown, Neptune, North Brunswick and Tinton Falls. Items especially needed include canned meats, canned tuna, canned fruits, canned vegetables, cereal and canned and boxed soups.

In just the first few days, the FoodBank provided more than 33,000 meals to food pantries, churches, senior centers, shelters and other organizations serving those impacted most by Hurricane Sandy.

Currently, all UTF branches are open for business to serve the financial needs of the community.
