United Teletech Financial to sponsor financial education fair for high school students

TINTON FALLS, NJ (May 19, 2014) — United Teletech Financial will sponsor a U-Prosper Reality Fair at Monmouth Regional High School on May 30, 2014.  Over 250 students will participate in the event, to be staffed by teachers and credit union volunteers.   A Reality Fair is a fun, hands-on way for students to learn about managing personal finances and the benefits of joining a credit union.

Students will select a career and be given a commensurate salary and a credit score.  The students then visit various stations to purchase things they would need in the real world: housing, car, food, etc.  The goal is for the students to meet all their monthly obligations, while still having some money left over to save for the future.

If you would like to cover this dynamic event for your publication, please be in touch with United Teletech Financial’s Marketing and Community Relations Manager, Ronald Amar, at the above contact info.  Please contact us by May 29 so that your presence can be cleared with the school.
