Forbes has named Unitus Community Credit Union a “Best in State” Credit Union in its annual rankings. Unitus moved up from number three last year to the second “Best in State” credit union in Oregon for 2025. A total of 222 credit unions across the country earned a ranking from Forbes.
The publication ranks credit unions on factors that include trust, customer service, digital tools, the quality of financial advice, and whether fees are transparent and reasonable. Forbes partners with research firm Statista to survey 26,000 people about their financial institutions. The rankings are based 80% off the survey data; the remaining 20% of the ranking is based on online reviews.
“This is the third consecutive year Forbes has honored Unitus with a ‘Best in State’ ranking,” explained Steven Stapp, President and CEO of Unitus Community Credit Union. “The fact that this ranking is based solely on member feedback is evidence that we’re living up to our promise of delivering inspiring service.”
Unitus is one of five credit unions in Oregon to earn the “Best in State” ranking, and the only one in the Portland Metropolitan Area.
