University Credit Union awards $7,500 scholarships to students

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 15, 2019) — University Credit Union is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 University Credit Union Scholarships. As an advocate for continued education, the UCU Scholarship Committee awarded three scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each to one deserving high school, undergrad and graduate student this past month at its 68th Annual Meeting.

Winners were selected based on community involvement, academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and an original essay on what UCU’s tagline “Bank with your Brain” means to them.

University Credit Union awarded to the following students:

  • Liz J. Osoy. Osoy, a senior in high school, will attend California State University Maritime Academy in the fall.
  • Camryn Rose Lopez. Lopez is currently a sophomore at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA.
  • Nnola Amuzie. Amuzie, a graduate of UCLA, is currently in her second year at USC Gould School of Law.

University Credit Union has been supporting the prestigious West Coast university community for over 68 years and has awarded $86,000 in scholarships to date. The tagline, Bank with your brain, embodies the commitment to the financial education of the university community.
