(December 10, 2014) -- Due to the credit union community’s overwhelming response to, and participation in, CU Direct’s 20 for 20 Giveback Campaign, the company has announced that it is donating an additional $20,000 to CMN Hospitals. The additional donation will be given to the contest’s 4 runner-up hospitals (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place hospitals). Each of the runner-up hospitals will receive $5,000 from CU Direct. The credit unions with the most votes toward the runner-up hospitals, will be invited to co-present the $5,000 checks from CU Direct.
When: CU Direct’s 20 for 20 Giveback Campaign runs from December 2nd through December 22nd. Contest participants can vote once per day through December 22. CU Direct will announce the winning CMN Hospital and 4 runner-up hospitals on December 23rd.
Where: The campaign is nationwide, and all credit unions and credit union members are encouraged to vote for their local CMN Hospital.
Why: Since the campaign’s launch on Giving Tuesday, CU Direct has received over 80,000 votes for CMN Hospitals across the nation. As a result of this amazing response, and because there are so many deserving hospitals, the company has committed to donating $40,000, providing support to multiple hospitals. CMN Hospitals have been an important cause to CU Direct for the past decade, as the company has been an active sponsor of the Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction, benefitting CMN Hospitals in Nevada and California. The annual event has helped raise more than $2.6 million since 2006.
