USAlliance Financial CEO awarded Exemplary Friend of the Central Americans in the Year of 2022

The award was presented at the XVII Gala of the Central American Coalition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

MARLBOROUGH, MA (November 17, 2022) — Kris VanBeek, President and CEO of USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union (dba USALLIANCE Financial) of Rye, New York, was recently awarded Exemplary Friend of the Central Americans in the Year of 2022, by the Central American Coalition USA at their XVII Gala on November 4, 2022, held at the Santa Fe Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Central American Coalition USA held this Gala Dinner to commemorate the 17th anniversary of their organization and to recognize the work of leaders, diplomats, businessmen, politicians, and friends. VanBeek was honored and recognized as CEO of USALLIANCE Financial for the partnership between USALLIANCE and the Central American Coalition USA.

The Central American Coalition USA has been working towards forming their own credit union to meet the needs of the Central American community to improve financial inclusion and accessibility. After the launch of Dora Financial in 2021, a fully bilingual mobile banking experience supporting individuals with low to moderate income, founded by USALLIANCE, the Central American Coalition USA turned to VanBeek’s company for advice in launching their own credit union. USALLIANCE Financial, Dora Financial, and the Central American Coalition USA have since been working together to bring the vision of a credit union for the coalition to life.

Tony Villalobos, Vice President Director, Central American Coalition, USA awarded VanBeek with the recognition as Exemplary Friend of the Central Americans in the Year of 2022 and expressed gratitude for the participation and collaboration of USALLIANCE and Dora Financial. The Coalition considers this a historic milestone and partnership in their organization’s journey and took the time to appreciate the partnership in front of CACUSA constituents, leaders, delegates, and consulates.

Notable figures also in attendance at the gala were Dr. Felix Ulloa, Vice President of El Salvador, City of Las Vegas Representative Silvia Martinez Romero, Vice Mayor of North Las Vegas, Mr. Isaac Barron, Deputy Minister of Diaspora and Human Mobility, Cindy Mariella Portal.
