UW Credit Union hosts Madison B-cycle Station, offers members discount

MADISON, WI  (June 18, 2014) — UW Credit Union has partnered with Madison B-cycle to install a bicycle station at its branch located at 3750 University Avenue in Madison, and UW Credit Union members who sign up for the program will receive a discounted annual membership.

“We’re proud to be able to help make the B-Cycle program more accessible to Madison residents who live west of the downtown area,” said Brad McClain, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at UW Credit Union. “We’re also committed to doing what’s right for the environment by supporting this alternative form of transportation.”

Madison B-cycle is an urban bike sharing program that lets its members use bicycles throughout the city’s downtown area and near west side. New Madison B-cycle stations have recently been installed at Metcalfe’s Market and the UW Health Digestive Health Center, expanding the program’s service beyond the UW-Madison and UW Health campuses.

“The B-cycle program gives Madison residents a convenient and economical way of getting around town,” said McClain. “We’re excited to offer a discounted rate to our members so they can take advantage of the program to ride to work, complete errands or explore the city.”

UW Credit Union members who are interested in receiving the discounted Madison B-cycle membership can visit any UW Credit Union branch for details.
