UW Credit Union three-time recipient of Madison Magazine’s Best Places to Work award

MADISON, WI (March 20, 2014) — UW Credit Union has been named one of Madison Magazine’s Best Places to Work for the third consecutive time. The company is also the largest organization in Madison to receive the employee-voted award.

“UW Credit Union truly believes that our employees are our greatest asset,” said Lee Wiersma, Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, “Our workforce is highly engaged as they strongly believe in our mission—improving the financial lives of people.”

Employees anonymously ranked their employers in six areas of engagement—trust, management, development, rewards, connection and work-life balance. Organizations’ environmental sustainability and diversity efforts were also measured.

“We are proud to once again receive this honor,” said Paul Kundert, President & CEO. “Our employees have the greatest impact on member satisfaction, so we treat our employees just as we treat our members—with fairness, dignity and respect.”

The survey is based on an employee engagement framework developed by Next Generation Consulting, a Madison-based consulting firm. The awards are given out biannually, and UW Credit Union received the honor in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

“Because our employees are passionate about what they do, we support them with compensation and benefit packages that build a strong community,” said Wiersma. “We also support our employees with opportunities for professional and personal growth and development.”
