ValleyStar Credit Union is pleased to announce that Amber Meador has successfully completed the Southeastern Regional Credit Union School (SRCUS) and earned her Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation as of June 2025. This significant achievement reflects Amber’s dedication to advancing her leadership and operational skills to serve our members better.
The SRCUS program is an intensive, three-year in-person educational journey designed to develop operational, managerial, and leadership expertise among credit union professionals. Participants attend weeklong classes each year, participating in hands-on activities, online coursework, projects, and exams. The program features instruction from respected University of Georgia professors and experienced credit union leaders, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes networking and peer learning.

Amber also shared her reflections on the program: “Attending SRCUS takes dedication, commitment, hard work, and grit. The growth I’ve experienced over the past three years has been astonishing. I’ve gained confidence, strengthened my critical thinking skills to better assist senior management, and improved my leadership abilities to help my team succeed. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been forming lasting friendships with fellow credit union leaders—relationships that will support me throughout my career. I am truly honored that our board of directors and management team supported me in participating in this program and investing in my professional growth.”
