Veridian Credit Union announces location of future Council Bluffs branch

WATERLOO, IA (May 4, 2015) — Veridian Credit Union has announced the future location of its first branch in Council Bluffs. The branch is expected to open in the spring of 2016 at the corner of  21st Street and West Broadway, with construction starting this summer.

“We’re very excited for Veridian to become a part of the Council Bluffs community,” said Jay Ferris, Veridian’s western region market president. “Our staff has been getting to know our peers and building relationships here, introducing Veridian and learning how we can be a resource. Opening our first branch in Council Bluffs is an exciting next step in demonstrating our commitment to this community.”

Some of the branch’s 6,880 square feet will be devoted to a community room for the use of members, community groups and local non-profit organizations. A family office will accommodate members conducting more detailed transactions and anyone joining them during those visits. The branch will also offer safety deposit boxes, a coin machine, a 24-hour ATM and a three-lane drive-up with video kiosks. Members will be able to meet with staff for guidance on nearly any financial topic, including commercial or consumer loans, mortgages and financial planning.

Veridian membership is open now to anyone living or working in Veridian’s 45-county field of membership, including Harrison, Pottawattamie, Mills, Cass and Adair counties in Western Iowa and Washington, Douglas, Sarpy, Cass and Saunders counties in Nebraska. The public is invited to learn more about membership and request notifications on Veridian’s progress in the Council Bluffs and Omaha communities at veridiancu.org/welcome.
