Veridian Credit Union receives Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber

WATERLOO, IA (March 31, 2014) — Veridian Credit Union was recognized with a Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber (GCVAC) Thursday. The award was presented at the GCVAC’s annual Awards Banquet in recognition of employers who have championed diversity and inclusion at their businesses, organizations and community.

“When we promote diversity and practice inclusion, we raise the quality of life in our community,” said Angela Weekley, Veridian’s Community Inclusion Manager. “It requires a collaborative effort on behalf of many, and we’re grateful to play a part in that effort here in the Cedar Valley.”

The Diversity and Inclusion Award is given in two categories. Veridian was recognized in the large business category. Allen College-Unity Point Health was recognized in the small business category.

Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members.
