Visions FCU partners with CRIME STOPPERS for Visions Cares

ENDICOTT, NY (December 23, 2020) — Visions Federal Credit Union has partnered with CRIME STOPPERS for a Visions Cares initiative in the Rochester community.

Regina Seabrook, Branch Manager in Rochester, along with Aisha Jasper, Community Development Liaison, worked together to make this partnership possible.

With the help of the $2,000 donation Visions made, CRIME STOPPERS was able to:

Support a K9 Initiative that assisted 30 local K9 teams. In 2020, they provided financial assistance for veterinary expenses, supplies, and much needed upgrades at the K9 Obstacle Training Course at the Public Safety Training Center
Give out ten $1,000 First Responders Scholarships at Monroe Community College for students enrolled in Law and Criminal Justice, Fire Protection Technology, and Emergency Medical Services
Present the CRIME STOPPERS Good Citizen Award to a Greece Arcadia High School senior who saved a woman’s life and assisted Rochester Police Department

Visions Cares is a way for Visions branches to show appreciation for the communities they are part of. Visions strives to put a smile on the face of others and make a positive impact on their lives so they pay it forward. Visions is proud to have supported this Rochester nonprofit organization for nearly four years and looks forward to what the continued partnership brings.

As a special gesture, the CRIME STOPPERS K9 Team came up with a fun way to say thank you to the Visions team (photos are attached). Every unit was represented, including the Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and the Gates, Greece, and Brockport Police Departments.
