WEOKIE Federal Credit Union donation match raises $7,051 to benefit Sunbeam Family Services

Thanks to support from the community and a generous $2,500 match from WEOKIE Federal Credit Union, $7,051 was raised for Sunbeam Family Services. WEOKIE members also donated infant and toddler clothes to support children and families served by Sunbeam.

“I am blown away by the impact of this donation drive!” said Sarah Mackey, manager of the WEOKIE Foundation. “WEOKIE’s employees and members took the time to show their support for the amazing things Sunbeam Family Services does in the community. With the $2,500 match from WEOKIE, and an additional $1,750 donated by WEOKIE, we were able to raise $2,801 to bring positive change to OKC. This is why I come to work every day.”

With support from the community, Sunbeam serves nearly 8,000 Central Oklahomans each year. As the Early Head Start provider in Oklahoma City, Sunbeam prepares babies and toddlers for school and life success. The nonprofit also provides safe homes for children in foster care, helps grandchildren thrive and supports Oklahoman's mental health and well-being.

“We are grateful for WEOKIE Federal Credit Union’s partnership and generosity,” said Sunbeam CEO Sarah Rahhal, LCSW, IMH-E®.  “Community donations from this match and clothing drive will help children and families learn, grow and thrive. Thank you!”
