West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union will merge into First Capital Federal Credit Union!

YORK, PA (May 7, 2020) — West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union members voted to merge into First Capital Federal Credit Union.

West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union was established in 1965 to provide employees of the West York School District the chance to borrow and save with their own credit union. Throughout the last 55 years it has lived up to that promise. But now the time has come for the staff to retire.

“We are excited to be part of the First Capital family,” said Craig Smith, Board Chairman of West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union. “The merger with First Capital will ensure that our members receive access to a wider range of products, services, and benefits.”

“First Capital is honored to welcome West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union members,” said Sue DeStephano, President/CEO. “We have had such a great relationship with West York Area School District over the years, we are thrilled about this merger.”

West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union will merge into First Capital Federal Credit Union effective Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
