WFCU webinar: Cooperative Voices – Transforming Lives by Bridging Credit Union Gaps

MADISON, WI (March 14, 2023) — Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) in 2022 launched Cooperative Voices as an in-person event in Washington, D.C. to coincide with Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference. Its purpose was to show how credit unions are changing communities worldwide, one person at a time. Four gaps exist for credit unions and their members every day: gaps of inclusion, leadership, gender and safety. Programs of Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions are a vehicle to help transform lives by bridging these credit union gaps. After two successful in-person events, WFCU is now bringing the Cooperative Voices experience to a wider audience through this virtual version of the event.

At the 2023 Cooperative Voices event, attendees heard stories from three extraordinary women who are changed by credit unions. Join us on this WOCCU webinar for a deeper conversation into each unique story of how credit unions have changed their lives forever.

This webinar will feature storytelling from three international women:

  • Alisa Stetsyshyn, a consultant for WFCU and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Credit for Agriculture Producers (CAP) Project in Ukraine, will speak on bridging inclusion and safety gaps.
  • Triza Magreta, a Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) Sister Society leader from Malawi, will speak on bridging gender gaps.
  • Esther Rajadurai, an Australian member of the World Young Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) program, will speak on bridging leadership gaps.
