Whitefish Credit Union receives highest industry recognition for marketing achievements

Credit Union honored with ten 2019 CUNA Diamond Awards including Diamond Best of Show

Whitefish Credit Union, Montana’s largest credit union serving over 55,000 members, received ten 2019 CUNA Diamond Awards for outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry, including the 2019 Best of Show award for its High School Spirit Debit Card program.

The Credit Union National Association Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network of more than 1,300 credit union marketing and business development professionals, presents the CUNA Diamond Awards annually. Thirty-six distinct award categories recognize accomplishments across a variety of marketing and business development efforts.

Whitefish Credit Union’s High School Spirit Debit Card program, a member engagement and philanthropic initiative, earned several 2019 CUNA Diamond awards. The credit union partners with eight high schools in Northwest Montana to issue debit card designs depicting each school’s mascot. Every time a High School Spirit Debit Card is issued, Whitefish Credit Union donates five dollars to the school represented on the card. The credit union received additional recognition for campaigns promoting the launch of its new credit card, an interactive 3D chalk art exhibit at the Northwest Montana Fair, and its annual report.

“We are honored to have our work recognized by peers and industry leaders,” said Josh Wilson, Vice President of Marketing at Whitefish Credit Union. “Winning ten CUNA Diamond Awards is a testament to our team’s relentless creativity. Their ability to capture and convey the spirit of Northwest Montana through innovative marketing efforts allows us to consistently serve members in new and engaging ways.”

“The hard work displayed by these credit unions always leaves us feeling inspired and passionate about what we do,” said Amy McGraw, Chair of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s Diamond Awards Committee and VP Marketing, Tropical Financial CU. “Receiving this award further highlights the dedication they have for our movement and their members.”

Award winners were recognized at the council’s 26th annual conference held March 20-23 in Las Vegas. For more information on the Diamond Awards or to view the entire list of winners, go to http://www.cunacouncils.org/events-recognition/mbd-awards.
