Workers Credit Union promotes Bob DaSilva as Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer

LITTLETON, MA (March 31, 2023) — Workers Credit Union has promoted Bob DaSilva to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer. DaSilva will use his passion for serving members in his work overseeing all lending operations of the credit union, including mortgage, consumer, and commercial loans.

“I look forward to the innovation that Bob will bring to his new role,” says Elizabeth Hayes, Executive Vice President, Chief Member Experience Officer of Workers Credit Union. “He will lead with vision and commitment. Bob has a combination of expertise, leadership and vision for the future that is in alignment with the Workers Credit Union culture and the Workers Way. I am excited for this well-deserved promotion.”

DaSilva has more than 25 years in credit union lending and executive leadership in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Before coming to Workers Credit Union two years ago, DaSilva worked at Greenwood Credit Union in Warwick, Rhode Island, as the Vice President of Retail Lending. After joining Workers Credit Union, he made immediate improvements in the lending member experience and the Workers Way, the credit union’s personalized, judgement-free financial coaching program. These improvements included faster processing times and a greater focus on the members.

“Workers Credit Union empowers members to achieve financial wellness,” says DaSilva. “This truly can improve lives by building confidence when it comes to finances. I’m grateful to be a part of the team and am looking forward to leading the lending operations by putting members first.”

DaSilva is a U.S. Army veteran and volunteers as a member of the Mount Wachusett Community College Veteran/Student Professional Development Committee. In his free time, Bob likes hiking, spending time outdoors, reading about history and playing the drums. He and his family are based in New Bedford, MA, where he serves as a chair for a local private school advisory board.
