HRCU spreads holiday cheer during 11th Annual Christmas Caring Campaign
$40,000 given to 37 local nonprofits this year
ROCHESTER, NH (December 27, 2024) |
This month, Holy Rosary Credit Union, on behalf of its members, staff and volunteers, donated $40,000 to 37 local nonprofits as part of its 11th annual Christmas Caring Campaign. This year’s recipients range from food pantries and homeless shelters to mental health and addiction recovery services.
“The Christmas Caring Campaign is one of the ways we at HRCU give back to the community that means so much to us,” said Sydney Albee, Director of Marketing. “This season is about kindness, generosity, and connection. At HRCU, we believe in building stronger, brighter futures together, and we are honored to give back to those who do so much for our neighbors.”
Each year, HRCU staff and volunteers nominate local nonprofits that create meaningful change in communities across the New Hampshire Seacoast, including York County, Maine.
“The Malley Farm’s mission to provide a holistic living space for women suffering from trauma has been strengthened by HRCU’s commitment to give back to its community. HRCU has been here since our beginning in 2015, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support,” said Moné Cassier, Malley Farm Founder and Executive Director, and one of HRCU’s Christmas Caring Campaign recipients.
Since the campaign’s inception in 2014, HRCU has donated over $340,000 to local nonprofits.
Albee also noted they are working to highlight recipients to raise awareness of each organization’s important work, “by celebrating these organizations on popular channels like social media, we can raise awareness among our members about key areas of need within our community.”
