First Harvest Credit Union’s (“First Harvest”) Charitable Journey Program recently donated over $2,500 to The Larc Norcross School, which provides special education services to enhance opportunities for growth, development, and independence for students with specialized needs.
Charitable Journey is an employee-led program established in 2015 by a volunteer group of First Harvest employees with a passion to serve our community. Quarterly fundraising initiatives are held to support various charities close to the hearts of First Harvest employees. Since inception, the Charitable Journey Program has donated approximately $60,000 to local organizations. The Larc Norcross School is a private non-profit Approved Private Special Education School that was founded in 1968 and serves students from ages 3 to 21 with a wide range of severe to profound disabilities. The Larc Norcross School is located in Bellmawr, New Jersey, and provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to families in the South Jersey region.
"The Larc Norcross School has a legacy of serving students in our Southern New Jersey community,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “We admire their dedication to special education and improving lives, and we are proud to have them in our field of membership. Our Charitable Journey Program has always embodied the ‘people helping people’ philosophy that is at the core of the credit union mission. This employee-led fundraising program is able to make wide-spread positive impacts on our Southern New Jersey community and the organizations that matter most to our employees, including The Larc Norcross School. We look forward to our continued and growing relationship with The Larc Norcross School in the months and years ahead.”
