Notre Dame Federal Credit Union awards 25 scholarships to area students

NOTRE DAME, IN (May 20, 2025) |

Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) awarded 25 scholarships to area high school and college students for the 2025-2026 academic year. Recipients were honored during a reception held May 14 at the Morris Inn on the University of Notre Dame campus.

Reba Hayes, Committee Chair and Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO, remarked, “The scholarship event is by far the most rewarding event I facilitate each year. The quality and quantity of applicants continues to grow—this year we received 291 applications, making the selection process incredibly difficult. During the reception, I witnessed the pride of the parents and the joy of the students. Many shared how honored they felt to be chosen, and several said it was the best award ceremony they had ever attended.”

The scholarship committee, made up of Notre Dame FCU partners (employees) and members of its Board of Directors, selected recipients based on academic achievement, financial need, leadership, academic activities, and community involvement.

Notre Dame FCU President and CEO Tom Gryp stated, “This program is a reflection of our mission to serve and uplift the communities we belong to. We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we’re proud to support these outstanding students as they pursue their goals.”
