CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI (May 21, 2025) |

Local community leaders recently gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union’s second Rochester Hills branch office. The credit union’s branch office in Clawson will start serving members in early June, marking its 24th location and ninth in Oakland County.

“As our membership in the Rochester Hills area grows, MSGCU is dedicated to providing conveniently located branch offices that make it easy for our members to visit us for in-person guidance on their financial goals,” said Steve Brewer, MSGCU President/CEO. “We are grateful for the continued support of our community partners in Rochester Hills and proud to work together to serve this community.”

The credit union is also giving away an outdoor patio heater and Solo Stove fire pit through the Grand Opening Week raffle. Learn more about the raffle and celebration at msgcu.org/rochesterrd.

The new branch office is conveniently located at Rochester Road and Hamlin, and joins MSGCU’s Rochester Hills location that opened in 2023 at Walton Boulevard and Adams. Anthony LeVans serves as branch office manager for the new location and joined MSGCU in January 2024 with 23 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Visit MSGCU’s website for information about the new location and to learn more about its member referral program and competitive CD rates. Everyone living in Michigan is welcome to join the credit union and MSGCU is proud to serve more than 150,000 members. New members can open an account online or in person at the Rochester Hills branch office, or any of the other 22 convenient locations in Southeast Michigan.

MSGCU provides a comprehensive suite of services and products to help members reach their financial goals. This includes personalized service tailored to member needs, competitive rates for loans and deposits, low fees, and a Michigan-based call center. One way MSGCU champions the financial success of its members is by offering complimentary financial counselors at each branch office to help members create a budget, find ways to save money, or improve their credit score. The credit union also offers a highly rated mobile app, video banking, online chat, and access to nearly 30,000 free ATMs nationwide through a shared network.

To enhance the communities it serves, MSGCU provides scholarships and grants, free financial education, and more. Through its Giving Back program, MSGCU provides $1,000 donations to community organizations near each of its 23 branches. The new Rochester Hills branch office will present a donation to the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. The branch office on Walton Boulevard and Adams previously presented a donation to the Rochester Hills Fire Department. The donation was used to purchase Knox Boxes, which firefighters use to safely enter homes during an emergency without breaking a door or window.
