Beth Gosch appointed to New York Fed’s Community Advisory Group

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced the appointment of Beth Gosch to the New York Fed’s Community Advisory Group.

The Community Advisory Group is comprised of leaders of nonprofits, community organizations, foundations, and anchor institutions. The primary goal of the Community Advisory Group is to provide the New York Fed, including President John C. Williams, with a real-time view of the economic issues faced by a diverse set of communities and individuals across the Second District.

Gosch is the executive director of Western New York Foundation in Buffalo, New York. The foundation is regionally focused on the seven counties of Western New York and centered around empowering people to create a thriving and equitable Western New York food system that reflects the community it serves. Gosch has served as executive director for nearly 20 years. Earlier in her career, she served as chief financial officer of a real estate and construction management company. Previously, she was a chef, restaurant consultant, and food entrepreneur.

Gosch has served on the Local Initiatives Support Corp’s Western New York Advisory Board, and in leadership roles on the boards of Western New York nonprofits including the Fund for the Arts, the Western New York Grantmakers Association, New York Sustainable Agriculture Working Group, East Side Avenues, Project Lead for WNY Regional Food Systems Initiative, and Food Future WNY Report.
