Sikorsky Credit Union announces scholarship winners for 2025

Sikorsky Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Thomas J. Williams Scholarship. Five outstanding high school seniors have each been awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education.

The Thomas J. Williams Scholarship honors the legacy of the longtime CEO, Thomas J. Williams, who passed away in 2015. The scholarship is awarded annually to graduating seniors who are members of credit union and plan to continue their education. To qualify, applicants submitted an essay sharing an important money management lesson they learned from Sikorsky Credit Union. The committee carefully evaluated the submissions and selected five recipients based on the strength of their essays.

This year’s Thomas J. Williams Scholarship recipients are Joseph Holton of Stratford, Cooper Cherubini of Trumbull, Brian Bradshaw of Cheshire, Olivia Szczerba of Shelton and Hannah Wong of Trumbull. 

In addition to the scholarship program, Sikorsky Credit Union remains dedicated to promoting financial literacy to teenagers through initiatives such as Financial Reality Fairs. These events provide local high school students with hands-on experience in managing personal finances and emphasizing the importance of budgeting.
