Maine Credit Union’s sustainable corporate growth plan spurs new leadership hires

Evergreen Credit Union expands HR, lending, and member experience teams to better serve the community

Portland, ME (July 10, 2025) |

Evergreen Credit Union has hired for 3 new positions: Beverly Frizzell-MacCallum, VP, Human Resources and Culture; David Carter, VP, Commercial Lender; Christine Goth, Member Experience Manager.

“My favorite part of the Evergreen Credit Union community is how like-minded everyone is,” said Christine Goth about her experience working with Evergreen’s branch staff and leadership. “Everyone welcomed me with open arms and with such joy that on day one I knew I made the right choice to work here.”

With 14 years of banking experience, Goth is optimizing and further developing services available to Evergreen members, such as her shared passion for accessible financial education. “It gives me confidence in my decision to work here, knowing that others share my values and are committed to educating and empowering our members,” said Goth.

David Carter is adjusting well to his new position on Evergreen Credit Union’s Commercial Banking team. He’s looking forward to getting involved in Evergreen’s well-known community efforts, one of the reasons he decided to join the team. “As a Commercial Lender, I look forward to helping our communities thrive by supporting the financial needs of the business members in the communities we serve,” said Carter.

Beverly Frizzell-MacCallum is serving as the VP of Human Resources and Culture, creating a dynamic that empowers staff to continue to provide world-class service to Evergreen’s members. “The care that our employees offer to our members is evident in all of my interactions,” she said. “That happens because the executives at EGCU take such good care of the employees.”

As Evergreen Credit Union grows, they are always looking for community members who not only are interested in the job description but also getting involved in the community through Evergreen’s initiatives. “We’re growing so fast, and a huge reason for that is because our team enjoys what they do,” said Jason Lindstrom, Evergreen’s President and CEO. “We want to serve southern Maine, and we’re reaching more Mainers every day.”

Evergreen CU is Maine’s 5th largest credit union with over $600 million in assets, serving over 32,000 members across southern Maine. Evergreen has numerous community initiatives, open positions, and variety of products for Mainers. For more information about Evergreen Credit Union, visit https://www.egcu.org.
